My wonderful and talented father, Roger Flyer, has just completed a new record called “Songs Hidden In Eggs” that is being pressed right now. Within in this week it will be “hot off the press,” so I thought I’d let you in early. They will go fast! He is also playing a number concerts in the next few months at which he will be promoting the new album.

Owen and Sleepy Linguistics

Please forgive me for not making any new posts for so long. Honestly Jon, your last comment was and still is compelling. All of a sudden (well actually it was nine months coming), things got crazy here. In a good way, indeed, but nonetheless, crazy. Between studying the linguistics of biblical Greek and Hebrew and long sleepless nights I have had my hands and mind full. I would like to continue posting on the blog, but perhaps we should switch subjects. Personally, I don’t feel like talking about biblical authority anymore. So, I’m going to try to move on to something else. I hope this does not disappoint anyone. Feel free to continue to discuss. Don’t stop on my account. I just need a change of pace. Don’t worry it doesn’t have to be related to linguistics!

In the meantime, check out

My beautiful wife, Marcia, took these pictures. She is superb photographer!

On a hot summer weekend Marcia, Jen, Ben, and I went to my Granny’s cabin. Ben and I fished and Ben tipped the canoe. We hooked the boat my grandpa gave me before he died up to the 240 and launched it for the day. Marcia and I took the boat home for the first time after the weekend trip. I miss my grandpa.
